Total cost basis different from the sum of cost bases of individual lots

My problem is very simple - individual lots have correct cost bases and yet their total is incorrect by about 9k. I tried validating, repairing, rebuilding investing lots, nothing seems to help.

Here are the specifics:
Total cost basis by adding all four lots: $37,816.16
Total cost basis as shown by Quicken: $46,762.22

As you can see, this results in completely incorrect gains and gains%.

How is that even possible? How hard is it to add four numbers?

Anyway, if someone has a suggestion how to fix it, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

In case it matters, I have Quicken Classic Deluxe build 27.1.62.16.

The next two steps I would take:

    • From the account transaction list, Ctrl-z to recalculate the register, and
    • Change the As of date for the view you snipped to find a time when the total did agree. Investigate subsequent transactions possibly including deleting and re-entering transactions.

    Thanks @q_lurker !

Ctrl-Z did not help but doing some detective work, I found the date after which things stopped adding up. I picked one IBM-sell transaction from that day, reassigned the lots to something else, saved, reassigned back to the original lots, saved, and, voila, total cost bases now match!

    Thanks again!
