Curious if anyone else is seeing that whenever there is a Quicken update OR a Mac Update that the next time I open Quicken (Classic Premier) Quicken does not find the correct file to open but rather an old file (as in typically at least over 1 year old) which necessitates restoring my latest back? Thankfully I backup manually frequently as well so I have not yet lost info, however, this is annoying to say the least.

That hasn't been a problem for me.

    Never had that happen either.

Never had it happen to me. I keep my files(s) stored tucked away in their default hidden location in the user Library location, though.

A couple of things to try:

    1. Quit Quicken, then locate the real current file and double click it to open. That may restore Quicken's memory of the file location.
    2. If that doesn't work, there is probably corruption in the Quicken preferences file. To fix this, navigate to Hard Drive > Users > (username) > Library > Preferences > com.quicken.Quicken.plist With Quicken not running, move this file to the desktop, then open your file as in step 1 by double clicking it. You will need to go through the app Settings and restore a few things. I may be helpful to take screenshots of the settings before proceeding so you can easily see what needs to be reset. To open the user Library folder, hold down the Option key while clicking the Go menu in the Finder.

Appreciate your responses. Yes, I have been able to easily restore from their tucked away hidden location in the user library location, yet still annoying after every update. Glad to hear no one else has had the same issue. Bottom line remains: back up frequently, often and again ;-).
