Quicken 2007 preservation and transfer of data

I have Quicken 2007 on an old (almost 20 years) Dell PC. I manually enter all data. The Dell was dial up. I still have the Quicken 7 install disk. The computer has become unreliable and I would like to retain all the Quicken historical data. I now use MacBook. Is there a way to transfer the Quicken 2007 files and data to my laptop?

Oh my, that may be a difficult task.
I assume that you're planning to use Quicken Classic Deluxe for the Mac.
I'm also assuming that you don't have either USB device capability or Ethernet connectivity on the old PC. Only antique floppy drives.Quicken Mac can convert Quicken Windows data files, but they must be of version 2011 or newer. There has been a change to the Quicken for Windows data file format in 2010. So there must be a file conversion performed on a Windows PC.
If you can get access to a newer Windows PC, one that has floppy drives compatible with your old Dell PC and Ethernet connectivity or USB ports to bridge the gap to the new Mac, then you need to use this newer PC to perform a file conversion process.
Avoid making any changes to the old PC. You don't want to destroy your currently working Quicken environment and you cannot install 2 or more versions of Quicken on the same Windows system in parallel.Quicken Inc. offers a free installation of Quicken 2013 Deluxe for Windows as a conversion helper.
The conversion process from Quicken for Windows 2007 to 2013 is documented here. There also is a link to download Q 2013 in this document.
In a nutshell: Using Q 2007 backup your 2007 data file to floppy. Download and install 2013 on the newer PC. Start Q 2013, let it locate the backup file on the floppy and it will create and convert your data file to the hard drive's \Quicken folder. Thoroughly review the results to ensure that all account balances and transactions, etc. have converted successfully.
When satisfied with the results copy the new Quicken data file to the Mac's Desktop folder (Ethernet or USB stick).
Start Quicken Mac, select conversion from Windows and let it locate the data file.
Convert and review the conversion results, making sure that everything converted properly and all transactions and account balances are correct. Backup your Mac data file.
I think, you're ready now to start using Q Mac for real and you can stop using the old Dell PC. Also, if needed, uninstall Q 2013 from the newer PC and delete the \Quicken folder, if you have to return that PC to its owner.Good luck!
P.S.: If you have more than one 2007-format data file, e.g., your current data file and historical (Year End Copies) of older years' data files, bring them along and convert them, too. You don't want to leave historical transaction files behind.
