Probably not what you are looking for but might help in the interim…

If you have "Security Display in Register" checked to show Symbol:Security and use the "Find" function, enter the security symbol you are looking for, that security will be displayed in the search window.

@Tim M another workaround is to sort the investment register by the item (security, action) you are searching on.

But I agree, having the ability to filter investment transactions would be a good tool to have.
