Quicken suggest restoring from a Backup file. When I did, None of my accounts had the "Notes/Memos" from 15 -20 years of data. "Quicken Premier" for Macintosh's reputation has gone down the toilet as far as I am concerned.

The 15 - 20 years of data is an exaggeration! It's only since the last time I had to start over building a data file which was in 2019.

In the register, does the column normally containing Notes/Memos show or was the column closed accidentally?

My Credit card account and Brokerage accounts have the "Memo/Notes data going back to 2016. My Credit Union accounts lost all the "Memo/Notes data.

If restoring from a backup file didn't fix the problem, have you tried restoring successively older backups until you find one that doesn't exhibit the problem?
