I'm on WINDOWS version.

===============================

Will these Quicken technicians take care of this SERIOUS problem.

I posed this problem in January, 2023 and I thought these Quicken folks would pay heed to this problem.

Please look at my January, 2023 post about:

Reconciliation not done properly or not?

The solution was for me (and maybe others) to manually change the OPENING BALANCE

I had to do this AGAIN when my reconciliation was off by $600.00 - my Quicken records and credit card records all matched all the way, but the OPENING BALANCE was changed.

Why did the OPENING BALANCE change. This is not the first time this happened… since 1/23, it has happened a few times and I had to change the opening balance. I have come to the point where enough is enough and these Quicken folks should take a hard look at this unwanted phenomena.

PLEASE, take care of this before I go bonkers again!!!

Thank you…

    @ksrothschild - what does your Opening balance transaction look like? It is the system generation "self-transfer" where the transfer account is the account itself?

    If so, if you create a "Opening Balance" category and replace the transfer category with it, you won't have the issue where the amount changes.

    I know this is a work around, but at least it alleviates the aggregation caused by the issue.
