Category report

Used to be able to right click on a category from the category list and run a report for that category, could customize as needed. As far as I can tell, you now need to go into reports and click through a lot of options and customizations to filter down to get to the same thing. Anyone know differently?

@rockmskm I just tried it and it still seems to work for me. I think the category report from the Category List only is available if the category has transactions attached to it. If you try to run one on a master category with zero transactions, it won't work. You need to go to a sub-category that has the transactions.

Do you have the "Usage" column displayed? That is an easy way to know which categories you can run the Category Report for. Click on the "gear" icon, and select "Usage" from the list. The Usage column will then show you how many transactions are using the category. That Usage column seems to disappear regularly and I always seem to need to add it back.

So strange, just tried it on a sub cat that has transactions and still nothing. Only options are edit, merge, hide, new cat, new sub and delete. No report.

But I did just find the usage, never even knew that existed and clicking on the hyperlink gets me to the same place the right click used to, so thanks!!

@rockmskm it is strange that you don't have the category report option when you right click the category. But at least you can still get the category report with clicking the link. Actually I am going to do it that way from now on. It's easier.

Right-click on a category in the Category List will give you the "Category Report" option only if there is at least one transaction in existence with that category.
Clicking on a parent category, to get a report of parent category plus subcategories doesn't work.
This shortcut only works for the single selected category.

Recommend trying one of the category-related reports instead.

@UKR Rockmskm is able to get to the category report just fine by clicking on the link in the "Usage" column.

The issue was that if Rockmskm right clicked on any category even if they had transactions, the Category Report was not listed as an option to select.
