"Accept Cleared Transactions" attaching to old reconciled transactions

I use Quicken business and personal vR62.16.

There are a handful of Payees that when new transactions come into the "Accept Cleared Transactions" window, attach to an old and previously reconciled record of the same payee. This happens on payees that are recurring transactions for the same amount. for example, a life insurance premium of $400 comes in each month. I enter it into my register in the current month. But when it posts from my bank, it does not match to the uncleared, current record. it matches to a transaction from a previous month.

So far, this is only happening for one account, a checking account.

Thoughts?

    @RWP289 is the transaction from the previous month marked as Cleared or Reconciled? The automatic match shouldn't happen with an old transaction that has been matched with a downloaded transactions and marked C or R.

    If this happens again the best thing to do is right click the transaction in the "Accept Transactions" window and manually unmatch the transaction. Then right click the transaction again and manually match to the correct transaction in the account register.

    I think what is happening is that you had a "mismatch" at one point, and then going forward that is causing the transaction matching to be off by a month.
