b1 Bank System Upgrade Causing OL-301-A

b1 Bank support is pointing the finger at Quicken, although I am inclined to point the finger at b1 Bank.

b1 Bank did a major software update over the weekend. Big enough that they had to issue statements for everyone dated the 26th instead of waiting for the normal statement closing date.

Of course, now Quicken won't connect to them although I can log into b1's website.

I deactivated the account and now when I try to re-add the account, I'm getting an OL-301-A error: Unexpected Institution ID

When I look at the account list, Quicken is listing the Financial Institution as zzz-b1Bank. Anyone have any clues on how to work around this?

Thanks,
Westley

A bank listed in Quicken with a "zzz-" prefix is obsolete and the listing will disappear soon.
The bank should have provided you with instructions on how to connect Quicken to their new website.

Have you tried deactivating all "old" b1Bank accounts and then adding them back in, using what appears to be a new "b1Bank" listing?

Yep to all the above. I only have the one account with b1 Bank and, thankfully, it is very low volume.

One of the tricks I have learned in the past, rather than try to "Activate" the account for online access, try to add a new account. Unfortunately, it isn't working at this time. I was hoping that someone at the bank would know what was going on or that someone on here would have an idea that I was thinking of.

The bank was totally useless. The girl answering the chat line didn't even know what Quicken is and the girl answering the phone line blames it on Quicken. She wanted to point me to an online help article from three years ago when several banks merged.

I've really been waiting to use up all my checks before closing this account and moving to another bank, but this just might spur me to go a little faster.
