How Do I Delete A Home Inventory Account?

I have an old Home Inventory account that is hidden in my file. I must have imported it years ago when I was using the Canadian version back in 2008. I since moved to the US and installed the US version of Quicken and forgot to delete this account. Fast forward to 2025, I suspect its the cause of stability issues i am having. I've tried to delete the account but I am unable. Anyone got a fix or workaround?

Thank you,

Henry

"Home Inventory"(HI) is one of those under-the-covers accounts that is linked to the old, obsolete Home Inventory Manager product (HIM).
Every time you make updates in HIM, transactions are sent into the HI account to update the balance.

If the HIM software feature still works on your PC, to zero out the HI balance you need to access HIM and delete all inventory entries.
But you still cannot close or delete the HI account. You can only hide it.

@Henry112 if you still can't delete the account after deleting entries as @UKR suggested, the other thing to try, if you haven't done so already, is to uninstall and reinstall the Quicken program. Doing this won't affect your data file, but it might clean up some issues with the Home Inventory installation.
