How to get back startup page. (Q Mac)

Running Q.Deluxe 2020 Version 5.17.6. Use only for tracking income and expenses from my two rentals. Logged in yesterday, and it loaded a completely different page. On top, it said Ron's Savings 2? Need serious help to get it back to the basic start page that displayed my rental information, CD account, etc?`

Re "filename" … In QUICKEN, click menu File then you will see "Show 'filename' in Finder" where 'filename' is the name of your Quicken file. Clicking this will take you to the Finder where your Quicken file is stored. From there, you can see how many old files there are move them to the trash (except the most recent one of course). As long as you don't empty the trash, you can always put them back if need be. If all of this is beyond your skill level, I'd suggest you find someone who knows Mac to get some in person help.

Sounds like what happened is you somehow created a new data file. First thing to try is to pull down the menu File > Open Recent. If you see "Ron's Savings" there, select that. It should get you back to your original file.

You helped me out with other issues. You are the best.
I tried "open Recent"—down to up, showing a list of John 21 down to John 17. I even had to change my password, but it still didn't work. I need serious help, I only use Quicken Deluxe Version 2020 because I was able to buy it. Since I don't use it for anything except tracking the ins and outs of my rental money. Also, view my CDs' amounts and where they are. I've been using Quicken for years, but I'm just now experiencing problems.
Need help. Pls keep in mind that I am older than you.

9 PM Wednesday, Calf time.
Got back. Following your instructions, I went ahead and worked my way down, and under John 20, got it all back and locked it in the stable.
Thanks for your fast response.

Glad you're back in business. I'm wondering how you are creating all those copies of your file. How are you quitting/closing Quicken? How are you launching Quicken?
I no longer have that version of Quicken, so I can't provide precise details. But In any case, you may want to go to menu File > Show "filename" in Finder. Make note of where your files are stored. Then in the Finder, delete all the old copies. Then back in Quicken, menu File > Open Recent > Clear Menu to clean this all up. Before doing any of this, menu File > Save a Backup and put it in a place you can easily find it.

Good morning Rick
As I stated at 9 PM yesterday, I got it running. However, a few minutes ago, I went into Quicken, entered my password, and was told it was wrong.
So, I tried the other three I used yesterday while trying to get it to run, even the one that opened the program last night—rejected that one as well.
Where am I messing it up?

Update…. I have it up. I think the problem is too many passwords.
I want to delete all the prior ones, but I'm nervous to do so.
Reading your notes, not clear on File>Show "filename in Finder. I went into Finder and don't see "filename".
Going into Quicken, I can open recent files from the menu File> Open Recent. Here is a list. Should delete one by one and leave the top one (John 20), quicken-"blue folder" Quickens? Isn't the current one on at one?
Sorry to be a pest.
