Ghost Red Flag problem

Question

PROBLEM: Like many others I have several accounts with the red flag in Account List, but now real pending transactions. Same issues with automatically adding to clear flag, and having flag return on reset of that switch.

In my case these were triggered when Quicken v63.20 crashed as it was finalizing an online update session. In online center 2 investment accounts show $0.00 transactions dated 0/0/1900 pending. A checking and a credit account show pending $0.00 transactions with no dates.

If I turn on automatic adds to the registers, the 1900 transactions appear to occur in 2027. The non-dated ones never show up.

QUESTION: How do I correct (or delete) the file that was corrupted during the crash and which is caching these pending non-transactions?

So to make sure I understand what you want me to do here, Ralph - go back to some point 2 weeks or more ago (I've been poking at this for a while) to when I think I might have a clean file, load it, and then have to re-enter, reconcile, etc. everything that has happened since. That about it?

Assuming that your data file is the default QDATA.QDF, exit Quicken and simply delete QDATA.QDF in the data file folder.  Copy a known-good data file from your backup location to the Quicken data file location and rename it QDATA.QDF, or whatever you want to name your data file.
