The update failed due to "must be run as administrator". I am logged on as an administrator and no previous update has failed due to this reason. The "fix" displayed on screen does not work because the file QuickenPatch.exe is not on my computer.

@Randy Wawrzyniak-Fry you can try temporarily deactivating UAC settings in Windows, and then install the update.

The easiest way to do this is type in UAC in in the search bar. In the UAC window, slide the settings bar down to the lowest level, click Ok.

Try the update again. Remember to change your UAC settings back to where they were.

Thank you. I forgot about that. When I went to UAC I discovered that somewhere along the line I had set it at maximum. Moving it one setting down to my usual setting fixed this issue, so chalk it up to "user error", or as we used to call it PEBCAK - Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard. 😎

@Randy Wawrzyniak-Fry you are welcome. And, no worries. Sometimes issues are caused by a simple change, but then also resolved by a simple change.
