    Not really sure what you're asking. I use Standard checks, three to a sheet, and can print single checks without issue, to include when there's only one check left from the triple sheet. HP3830.

    If by "a single Quicken check" you are talking about Quicken-compatible check forms of the "Standard" or "Wallet checks (Check21 …)" type which usually come in 3-checks-per-sheet from the check printing company, then many inkjet or laser printers can handle these single checks. Some printers are more complicated to use, however, than others. On some printers it may be next to impossible to load a single check into the input tray and make it feed thru the printer without it getting lost or stuck while printing.

    As an alternative to looking for and buying a new printer:
    If you can't resolve feeding or printing issues, you can try to use form leaders to feed your printer with a proper 8.5x11" sheet while printing a partial 1- or 2-checks page in normal portrait orientation.

    My 2cents' worth:
    I use Voucher Checks (1 business size check + 2 stubs on an 8.5x11" sheet). My printers do not have a manual feed tray or 2nd paper tray that can easily be reconfigured to feed partial pages (1 or 2 checks left from a 3-checks-per-page sheet), so for my occasional check printing needs Voucher Checks are easiest to use.
    I currently use a Canon G3270 series printer because it has a straight-thru paper path, with the input tray in the rear of the printer. Check forms are loaded upside down, face up, lowest check number on top of the stack.
    When making a purchase decision for a new supply of check forms and considering your own check stock to use, consider how easy or difficult it is to feed special forms or odd-size partial pages into your printer.
