Quicken Mac Classic and Online Backup

I’m running Quicken Classic on my Mac OS 14.6.1, Quicken version 7.6.1. I have paid for online backup and the instructions are to click the cloud icon in the top right corner. This option does not appear in the window. There is an update version 8.2.1 available. Do I have to update to this version for the online backup to be functional?

The online backup feature was introduced in version 7.9.1 so you'll need to upgrade to at least that version to use it, but I can't think of a reason why you should not use the current version 8.2.1.

If you still don't see the cloud icon in the top right corner after updating, go to the Backup tab in Quicken Settings and check the "Show icon in main window" option.
