I would like to request a new feature. Right now only Mutual Funds seem to make use of the Average Cost field. I am tracking my Crypto (XRP) from Coinbase. They list an average cost value. I would like to see it made available within the account view (currently just says $0.00). If it's not available through the connection with Coinbase, I would like to be able to manually edit the value. That way I can more easily track my capital gains.

I am not clear on what you are seeing or seeking. True, the security specific designation to "Use Average Cost" is currently available only for Quicken securities that have the Type = Mutual Fund.

You would like to see within the "account view" the average cost of your crypto holding so you "can more easily track capital gains". By "account view" do you mean the what you see via the "Holdings" button or some other "view"?

Any Portfolio view (Ctrl-U) can be customized to include a column "Average Cost per Share". That column is independent of the type of security (not limited to type = Mutual Fund.) That would seem to be the information you are seeking.

I am not familiar enough with crypto transactions to know if the IRS allows one to use Average Cost for the capital gain calculation in the same fashion that they allow for Mutual Fund securities. In that context, I am also not clear if you are asking the Quicken similarly compute capital gains for crypto holdings using Average cost as the cost basis.
