Merrill / B of A EWC+

FYI: I'm testing the new ML EWC+ connection. I recently revised one of 2 Merrill Edge connections (husband/wife, different accounts) from DC to EWC+. In the process I noted that all of the BA accounts are listed as available when setting up the ML EWC+ connection on the Merrill site. BA doesn't support ML but ML does support BA.

I connected one of the BA credit cards through ML and it works fine. (I deactivated the connection in Quicken first, then enabled it on the Merrill web page.)

For awhile I kept a BA connection for some of the credit cards and had an ML connection for her IRA and a BA credit card. That credit card updated as well through ML as the others did through BA, so I switched the others to use the ML connection.

When forced to migrate ML to EWC+ I'll move my BA accounts (checking and credit cards) to use the same ML connection as my IRA. The end result will be a reduction in the number of BA/ML connections, whether DC or EWC+, by half.

I hope the new ML EWC+ connection works as well for investment transactions as the DC connection does, but will have to, eventually. The bank accounts work as well with ML as with BA, so there will be no reason to keep the separate BA connection.
