Frustrated at Lack of Progress with Investment Reports

I wanted to create a report that would include all transactions for a specific security throughout all years. This was something I had set up in QM 2007. (No, this can’t be produced by exporting from Portfolio View.)

Unfortunately, I ran into the issue that Investment Reports are still severely lacking in QM Classic 8.2.1. Yes, I have voted for the development team to make this a priority. However, after almost five years, there is still little progress on this and no indication that this basic functionality will ever be reintroduced.

Could you clarify what you would like that is more than what QMac already does? You do realize that investment transaction reports are a "Register" report … you filter in the Transactions tab, then click the Print button at the bottom/right of the Transactions tab view?

For example, here is a screenshot of the left columns (keeping right columns private) of a report when I filter by symbol IBM for all dates, any type, any status … and then click on the Print button.

Many years of transactions do not show in this report because I switched brokerages in 2023. (Splits don't show because the post-split shares were reflected. For holdings that I have that have split etc … all of those transactions show up in the report for the security.)

Maybe you're asking for a report for a security across multiple investment accounts? If so, do the same filter/print when clicking on the Investing (or Brokerage or Retirement) headers' transaction tab to get all transactions.

I do agree that all kinds of reports that are accessed from Registers should be available via the Reports menu.
