Quicken Lagging

I have been having an on again and off again issue with Quicken lagging. When you click, there is more than the usual delay in anything happening. I recently bought a new Dell, thinking my 15-year-old computer was the problem, but it is still persisting. Is anyone else having this problem? My Quicken file is 225,680 KB, if that means anything.

    When you say "when you click", what function(s) are you referring to exactly? Launching the Quicken program, doing a One Step Update, click between account registers or tabs, etc?

    The file size is not as relevant but the complexity in your investment accounts do have some impact on performance. Some antivirus programs may also impact performance.

    Since it is sporadic as you mentioned, it is doubtful that the issue is in your data file. A few tests you can try are (a) create a new Quicken file and see how that performs compared to your main file to determine if it is a data file issue (b) disable the wifi on your dell and see how Quicken performs to determine if it is a network/server issue. (c) temporarily disable your antivirus / spyware programs and see if that improves things.
