Quicken is Extremely Slow (Payee Entry)

I am an extremely long time Quicken user (since 2001) and I am extremely frustrated with the current product. You switched to a subscription model, so I am paying you money every year. However, the product continues to degrade in quality. I am strongly looking into other options because I don't believe that you actually care about your customer base.

Simple searches of the internet show multiple complaints of extreme slowness and lag that occurred some time this spring (2025). Manual entry (typing) into the "Payee" used to have a little bit of lookup time, but the program now takes an unbelievable amount of time to search through the memorized payee list. I would assess that manual entry of payments now takes 10x to 20x times longer per entry than it did earlier this year. This was not a gradual increase in lag time. It jumped up in a huge way some time this spring.

I have tried several of the recommended fixes (validation, reduction in time duration for memorized payees), but I do not see any change in software performance. At this point, the product is essentially not useful and I am starting to look for better alternatives.

What version, edition level (Starter, Deluxe, etc.) and release (R xx.xx) of Quicken are you using?
US, Canadian or other country version?

If you are using the Quicken Bill Manager features for Quick Pay, Check Pay you want to try this:
Unlink all Quick Pay and Check Pay payment transactions to turn them back into "regular" scheduled reminders.
Wait at least one day for the Quicken server updates to go thru.
Now try transaction entry again. Did performance improve? (This process helped on my system)
