Using Check Pay with PayPal Balance Account

I have a PayPal Balance account set up for Quick Pay and Check Pay, with the direct debit feature enabled to allow ACH transfers from my PayPal account. Electronic transactions using Quick Pay work great.

I’m considering using the Check Pay feature to send a payment to an individual from my PayPal Balance account. However, I’ve come across information online suggesting this might not work because: 1) PayPal isn’t a traditional bank, and 2) checks may be processed differently than the ACH mechanism used for direct debit. Even though the routing and account numbers will appear on the check, I’m concerned it may not function as expected.

Before I send myself a test check to verify, I’d like to hear from anyone who has tried using Check Pay with a PayPal Balance account. Did it work for you? Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!
