My file size shrunk dramatically from 6.9 GB to 0.9 GB after last upgrade (Q Mac)

I reported in a previous post about enormous file sizes and running into problems with backup's after I reached 4GB. Removing encryption solved the 4GB limit but the reason for the file size was never clear. On top of that I had issues with the Net Worth over time.

Well in the mean time I reached 6.9 GB ;-) , a ticking time bomb

I am happy to report that this weeks update to Version 8.3.1 (Build 803.58866.100) resolved all issues ?! The file size is now 0.9 GB and the Net Worth over time graph now tracks the sum of the registers.

A not-publicized feature was added to the 8.3 upgrade which resulted in the size reduction…which was modest for most of us… but remarkably dramatic in your case!

FYI, there was also a bug fixed in the Net Worth calculations if you had multiple Sell transactions for the same position on the same day. It wasn't common enough to make the release notes… ;) (But I didn't want you to think that reducing the file size is what fixed the Net Worth issue!)

@Quicken_ChrisC , unfortunately it was never clear to me why my file size was so large and kept growing significantly. However, I had a suspicion that it had to to with OTC instruments like Muni's. These Muni's were also causing the Neth Worth Issue. When Muni accounts were moved to another bank, I could not get the old account balance back to zero when using the "remove shares" feature. The equity accounts worked fine. With the last release these old Muni account had balance zero.
