All of The CDs in Quicken Are Out of Balance With My Merrill Lynch Account

I am getting mismatches on almost all of the CDs held in my Merrill Lynch IRA with Quicken. This has been going on for over a month.

Also, when I purchase a CD in my ML account it is added with a symbol and as stock instead of a CD and on trade date rather than settlement date. Completely erroneous. I have seen other posts complaining about inaccurate ML downloads. When will this be fixed? All of my investments are with Merrill Lynch.

    I had the same issue when I switched to the new connection method. I never got a response and I switched back to the direct connection. Now it looks like there is no option but to change to the new connection method and it looks like the problem has still not been corrected. This is a huge step backwards☹️

    It's still going on. I have multiple CDs under different Merrill accounts and each CD was duplicated. The transaction date the earliest date for any transaction in the register for that account. I first tried to delete the "new" transactions from the register but then it duplicated them on the next download.

    Next I went in and copied the CD information from the original transaction (symbol, maturity date, coupon rate) but left the description as it was downloaded. If I tried to correct the description, Quicken would give an error that it was a duplicate holding, so I could not correct that information. I then went in and tried to "remove" the original transaction (to correct the balance and preserve history) but Quicken would still show the holdings in the portfolio view. I had to go in and delete the original transaction twice. The first delete creates a "balancing" transaction at the earliest transaction date in that register (like it did for the duplicated downloads). Deleting the balancing transaction finally cleaned out the portfolio view and the register.

    I'm hoping that it doesn't duplicate the transaction again tomorrow (since I added symbol etc) the the transactions that were duplicated today
