New Bank of America Quicken Connection: EWC+

For the past few days I have been receiving an error message when trying to download transactions from B of A. Today I was sent an email by a Quicken agent that B of A is changing it connection method (no longer supporting Web Connect). However, there was no further information as to next steps and a new connection method. I was just informed by my rep at B of A (who contacted their technical team) that B of A will be using a new connection method calle EWC+ connection. The rep said that I should get an error code when trying to download transaction from B of A with a prompt to set up the new EWC+ connection. BUT I do not see any such error code or instructions. I will get a copy of the actual memo from B of A tomorrow and will post it. Lower level Quicken reps have no information about this. Has anyone in the Community heard about this. If so, please respond with further information.

Just to give you a flavor of what happens next. Your data upon authorization will be aggregated by Intuit and Quicken will access from there.

After of course you agree to the privacy policy. Read it carefully. https://www.quicken.com/privacy/us

    And if in CA https://www.quicken.com/privacy/us/ccpa/ca

The EWC+ connections ask for a lot. Below is a sample.

"We may create and use de-identified information for our business purposes, including to analyze the effectiveness of our products and services, to improve and add features to our services, and to analyze the general behavior and characteristics of users of our services. We may use this anonymous, aggregated, or de-identified data and share it with third parties for our lawful business purposes."

only option is to reauthorize the account and begin using EWC

the error is the generic message about being unable to validate the financial institution information but it doesn't tell you what to do.

you have to deactivate and reactivate the online services for the account
