This morning Quicken did not match my downloaded transactions and it did not allow me to match manually either.

I've run into this exact same problem since I was forced to change connection type. When I re-established the connection, it downloaded the previous two weeks of transactions in my two accounts that were all already downloaded from the old connection. None of them matched, and none of them allowed for manual matching either.

First I tried just deleting all the previously matched downloads, but they just showed up again the next day. So I accepted them all and then deleted them. Then today quicken downloaded transactions going back to July. I don't have the time or the inclination to deal with that many transactions and I shouldn't have to.

Why is it every time quicken makes some sort of update everything just gets worse and/or just doesn't work?

As previous posters noted, Quicken just downloaded 66 "new" transactions into one of my Fidelity accounts after the recent change in the connection method.. All 66 had been previously downloaded. There seems to be no way to match these "new" transactions with the previous matching ones. Each "new" transaction has to be deleted by hand one-by-one a very tedious process that I will have to go through for all my other Fidelity accounts. For other non-investing accounts selecting the first downloaded transaction, pressing shift, and scrolling to the last one allows all to be deleted. Not in this Fidelity account. If anyone know a work-around, please let us know!

If you only knew how many forced balance adjustments I have in my quicken files, with "some quicken download error" in the comment/notes over the past years… ;) It's a terrible workaround, but it is one way.
