Dashboard Filters Relate to Drill-Down

Currently, I have customized what accounts are used in particular dashboard visualizations. When I click on those dashboard items to drill into the detail, the accounts that are used by default in the resulting report are different than what is in my filter. In my opinion, the report behind the dashboard should automatically get any information from the filter and show that by default so that the report matches the dashboard.
