Quicken Not Supporting RRSPs in USD

This morning I tried to enter a new spousal RRSP account that I'm opening under TD-DI. Even though I select USD when I create the account it keeps defaulting back to CAD. After chatting with Dennis at Quicken, it seems like when Quicken merged their Canadian software with the US version, they stopped supporting RRSPs in multiple currencies, and that this issue has been known for over a year. The work around is to create a brokerage account.

I would like to know if Quicken are going to fix this basic issue for it's Canadian users.

I'm a long time Quicken user (20+ years) and it seems like they are losing interest in the Canadian user market.

I recommend ignoring this issue and continuing to use the Brokerage account. There are no benefits, only disadvantages, to using the RRSP account type. I abandoned using Quicken's RRSP account type long before this issue surfaced because it is problematic for other reasons. Use the Brokerage account type for RRSPs, RESPs, LRSPs, etc. and you'll avoid a bunch of issues with no downside.
