Maximum number of datasets exceeded
I just started receiving this message this morning. I have two data files that I use on my desktop computer. I have two data files while monitoring the Fidelity transition to the EWC+ download method. One file uses EWC+ and the other uses the DC method. I've been doing this for about a month now while Fidelity and Quicken sort out the problems they've been having.
Will this message eventually go away or do I have to take some other action to remedy things?

@Chuck85 Call Quicken Support, they can reset your datasets.

@Chuck85 I'm also have a few data files during the Fidelity DC to EWC+ connection transition. I updated a several times today and fortunately did not see this error. However transaction downloads using DC worked today but did not work with EWC+.

I will give that a try…thanks!

I tried calling yesterday. They said they didn't see anything wrong and asked me to hold while they talked to someone else. After about 5 minutes the call got cut off. Today I tried going through the chat function and it used a script or maybe some AI. That told me that since I can only see one cloud datafile in the preferences that I needed to call support. I also tried creating a "TEST" new datafile (so I could delete my primary one in the cloud) and kept getting the maximum number of datasets exceeded messages and it wouldn't allow me to go any further. I'll look into it more later.

A couple of things- if you did not use the template copy function to create your 2 data sets, that may be causing problems because they would still be connected in the cloud. You can't just use a windows copy or a Quicken backup copy to start a new data set. It has to be a newly created file, or one created using the template copy function.
Next try the Refresh your sign in under Help in menu bar.

I used a windows copy for my two files. I've also tried to create a NEW data set using the new file function but always get the dataset exceeded message at every step and a message that it can't verify my id information at the end (under cloud information in preferences. I've also refreshed my sign in and still the same thing

I just called again and allowed them to see the screen while I duplicated the problem. After about 30 minutes they told me that I've exceeded the 50 allowable datasets and that I had to wait until the beginning of next month when the count will reset.
I feel that the representative could have helped me more when I told him that I was using a couple of files to make sure the "EWC+" download method gave me the same results as the "DC" method while the Fidelity transition continues. Each time I had an issue I copied my backup files over to redo things. That was my mistake.
