After EWC+ update, "Show cash in checking account" shows negative share balance

My Fidelity Brokerage account is set up as "Show cash in a checking account" (aka "CMA-linked investment account"). After the EWC update, the account is now showing a negative Securities Value (the separate Cash account seems fine).

How can I get rid of the negative securities value?

Some more details:

As part of the update process, when I was asked about converting SPAXX to a cash value ("will remove all Bought and Sold transactions"), I accepted this (followed the recommended suggestion). The account still shows Bought and Sold transactions for SPAXX. I don't particularly care about these transactions, but I don't want to see a negative value.

I tried to Reconcile the share balance (set it to zero) which seems to have changed something (share balance column shows negative values but they're in black rather than red), but the summary at the bottom of the register still shows a red negative value for "Securities Value". Under Holdings, it only shows cash and no longer shows SPAXX.

Please ignore/delete. I reloaded the account and the Reconcile share balance entry appeared, so the problem has been repaired.

Actually, using Reconcile to zero out the balance is the wrong solution.

The right solution is to NOT convert SPAXX to a cash value when you're using a linked checking account.
