Portfolio Share Totals are incorrect and do not match Share Balance from Ledger
I have a Fidelity 401K account. It calculates correctly the actual securities I do own; however, securities traded in the past come back into the portfolio view with small random numbers of shares. If I check the ledger, the security balances for these old securities are all zero and correct.
Is this a known problem?

Hello @Andrew H,
Thank you for sharing your experience, and I am happy to help.
To clarify, you are saying that share balances are off in your Portfolio view, for old securities. However, you have checked the transactions, and everything there is correct. Is this accurate?
No, this is not currently a known issue. I do want to check some things.
- How long has this issue been occurring?
- Where is your data file located?
- Is your file being synced or backed up by any third-party services like OneDrive, iCloud, or Carbonite?
- Do you have investment accounts with financial institutions other than Fidelity?
- If so, do you see this happening with any securities that correspond with those accounts?
Looking forward to your response.
