Fidelity account will not download sale of FZDXX when sold
I have checked the box in preferences to "never interpret the downloaded money market funds as cash." Yet, when I connect with Fidelity, it downloads the movement of cash but does not download the sale of FZDXX that created the cash for the transfer.

Hello @Dennis Nelson,
Thank you for sharing your experience. It sounds like it's not recognizing that you have changed it.
Some things to check:
- How long has this been occurring?
- Does it download the sale sometimes and not others, or is it consistently not being downloaded?
- Where is your data file located?
- Is your file being backed up/synced by any third-party services like Dropbox, Carbonite, or OneDrive?
- Have you tried validating your file?
If not, please do the following:
- Go to File.
- Select Validate and Repair file…
- Check the first box for Validate file.
- Click Ok.
Once that is done, go to File>Exit. Wait about 30 seconds, and reopen Quicken. Let me know if the Sale transactions start showing up in future downloads.
Thank you!

Downloads where working on and off through 10/31. On 11/1/25 no transaction downloads from any of my 7 fidelity accounts would download and when I follow Quicken instructions to reset account the program tries to have me link my taxable brokerage account as a checking account to my existing fidelity taxable brokerage account. Fidelity connection use to be the most reliable of all connections and over the last month it has been less than stellar. Is there an ETA on a fix?

What you're describing sounds like "Redemption" transactions, which are automatic-sales of FZDXX when there is not enough $ in the sweep account to cover a buy or transfer transaction. If this is what you're describing, its an identified bug that Quicken is aware of. We're waiting for a fix, but Quicken has not given an ETA. In the meantime, the workaround is to manually enter the transaction into the account register to keep everything in balance.
The lack of downloads on 10/31-11/1 is a problem not specific to Fidelity. Many EWC/EWC+ from multiple financial institutions have been affected by a partial interruption of service that have left many of us unable to download transactions. Its frustrating, but this is not the first time its happened, and I doubt it'll be the last.
I advise that if, in the future, you run into such a service interruption, check this message board before doing anything. If you see multiple postings that sound like the problem you're having, wait without doing anything. Keep checking the message board until you start seeing postings that indicate the problem has been fixed. Resetting accounts in such situations can sometimes cause more harm than good (trust me, I know. I've been there).

Hello,
Thank you @mrzookie for updating the discussion.
That is correct, "Fidelity money market fund redemption transactions missing from accounts" is an identified issue that we do currently have an open ticket for.
If you wish to aid in the investigation, you can go to Help>Report a problem>Send to Quicken.
That will send over your log files. If you do send them over, let me know so I can add you to the ticket.
Thank you
