Scheduled Bill/Transaction Every XXX Days (where XXX > 99 days) Q Mac

I was trying to setup a payment to be paid every 120 days. The problem is that the field to enter the number of days only accepts two digits. So the highest I can set it is 99 days. I've tried using every 4 months but this causes issues when making the payment because the next payment might be a few days after it is really due and I need to go in and manually change it to avoid paying late.

Is there any way around this or a way to request that the field accept 3 digits?

Every 120 days is a really odd billing schedule.

It looks to me like that field only takes 2 digits no matter what schedule you're on - daily, weekly, monthly, etc.

The best way to request a change is to create an idea thread over in the Product Ideas area.

Every 17 weeks would get you really close (119 days), and you wouldn't be late

Yes, you should be able to work around this. And I agree with @Jon that 3 times a year is an odder payment schedule (360/120=3.)

I would set this up as 3 separate repeating annual transactions. Set up the first with the details. Then duplicate that, and set the payment for the second date, and then the third for the final payment.

@John_in_NC The thing that I thought was so odd is that every 120 days isn't exactly 3 times a year, it's 5 or 6 days short of that; every year the payments will get pulled forward almost a week earlier than the year before. Every 4 months would give you exactly 3 times a year but they have said that isn't the required schedule.

(I think the mismatch here is the old school calculations between 3 times a year before computers ((when accountants used 360 days a year for easier calculations)) and now when when us regular people use 365 days a year with each month figured in and what Quicken/some banks use.)

Time will tell if it is truly every 120 days or actually every 4 months.

But the 3 individual schedtransx should be a safe route so they pop up on time.
