New Major Bug That Scares Me: Quote Price on Lots Incorrect

So today this happened. I was selling some of my VTI lots, and I noticed the quotes on all of them were higher than they were supposed to be. I tried rebuilding, tried deleting everything. I restored a backup, and everything is fine now. But it's the strangest thing: another Quicken data file of mine had the same problem. I never use that data file, but the same glitch was occurring. Any ideas how this could have happened? Since they are the only two data files I had with a cloud data file, I can only conclude that this somehow occurred because they are connected to the cloud.

The picture with all the sold lots is the bugged one. Those sold lots were wrong too.

    Hello @recursor1,

Thank you for sharing your experience and for providing such detail.

I have a couple of follow-up questions, if you don't mind.

    • Where is your file located?
    • Is your file being backed up/synced by any third-party services like Carbonite, OneDrive, or Dropbox?
    • After restoring your backup, has the issue returned?
    • Have you tested your theory of this being related to the cloud sync by disabling it to see if this still occurs without it being enabled?

    Looking forward to your response.

@Quicken Alyssa , by disable do you mean having no connected accounts? Because the isssues only start once I've connected accounts to online services in some manner. Before then it doesn't occur.

Sorry, I got this thread confused with another. I do not keep files backed up via a third party. I just keep them locally. And I did resolve the lot inaccuracies by restoring a backup, but other issues remain (my other issues have been discussed elsewhere extensively).
