Quicken hangs when I enter an investment account transaction in the past

When I try to enter in past investment transactions (from 5/2023) Quicken seems to just hang. No messaging, no error, but it just sits there.

If I enter the same transaction with the current (today's) date, the transaction processes just fine.

It seems to be all the investment accounts and I even created a new brokerage account to see if it would allow me to enter the transaction (thinking I could move it over to the correct account once entered) but even that hung.

Other account types (credit cars and bank) don't appear to hang when I enter a transaction with a date in the past.

Any ideas?

That is very strange. What happens if you set the date on your computer back to the date of the transaction you are trying to enter?

I hadn't thought of that. Great idea. But I tried it out and it still hangs.

You might want to try Import QIF program to load your past date investment transactions. It’s free, it was developed by a long time poster here.
