Recent Transactions download functionality removed from American Express Canada

I was just advised by an American Express Canada agent that, at the recommendation of the marketing team, it has removed the "Recent Transactions" download functionality from their recent webpage redesign.

You can only transactions included in your paper/electronic statement.

I lodged a formal complaint as I cannot believe that a credit card company would remove functionality that their competitors offer (e.g., BMO, TD, RBC)

Has anyone experienced this as well?

Yep just found out the same. It's nuts! For someone who updates their finances every couple of days it's pretty frustrating.

I have asked to pass along my frustrations to whoever it may be, so we'll see what changes.

In the meantime I'll be using my other cards, it bothers me that much lol.

Just discovered the change in functionality this morning. 🙄Functionality that worked well for MANY years gone. Never the most friendly site, but it worked well. I would typically download recent transactions at least once a week or more as it made reconciling much easier than waiting for the monthly statement. Also gave me a closer to real time view of spending.

A real miss in functionality, most of all since it's the removal of something that worked well, not functionality that needed to be added.

    Please reconsider,,,,

Completely ridiculous. Calling to complain right now.

I Called Quicken Support, if we all call Quicken Support and log a ticket with them, that might help to get Quicken engaged and contact AMEX Canada about this stupid change AMEX Canada has done.

Just discovered the the loss of current transaction download functionality. I called AMEX to inquire and was told they were aware of clients concerns. I let them know that this makes it more tedious to verify transactions and that I would like the functionality put back fast. I also informed them that if it is not put back soon I would start using other Credit Cards instead.

The more noise AMEX hears on the subject the more likely they put the functionality back.

Glad that the functionality is back. Whose says that lodging complaints don`t amount to much. 😋
