How do I stop a transaction with splits from automatically opening the splits? (Q Mac)

I have Quicken Classic Deluxe for Mac. With the latest update when I tap on an entry, the splits automatically open. This is annoying. Each month I have the same deposits and I copy the last month transactions with the splits, the merge it onto the downloaded transaction that comes without splits. How can I stop the splits from opening automatically when I duplicate a previous transaction?

In Settings on the Register tab there's an option for "Automatically show splits in register", try turning that off if it's on, that should stop the split from opening up when you select a transaction.

I don't think there's any way to stop a split transaction from showing the split when you double-click the transaction to open it for editing.
