Why are my Quicken files all combined when I migrated two separate files from Windows to Mac?

I have two quicken files that I migrated from Windows to Mac. I opened one, it was fine. I closed it, opened the other one and the two files are combined now. What is happening that I can't see the files individually? Does that make sense?

This shouldn't happen. How did you migrate your files? Did you move your Quicken for Windows .QDF data files over to Mac and walk through the pathway to import each into a new file? That should keep things separate.

(If you used the Windows QXF file export format which was done in years past, this potentially could cause you to merge files. You don't want to do that.)

Actually, "Import" is the wrong method to use to migrate AFAIK. Use File > New and then "Start from a Quicken for Windows file". Do this for each Windows file to create its own QMac file. If you use Import, it will merge the contents into the current file.
