Quicken Mobile & Web causes corruption

I've tried several times to use Quicken's Mobile & Web and each time it has ended in corruption of my Quicken for Windows data.

  1. Transactions are removed and account balances are wrong
  2. Deleted scheduled transactions return, even after being deleted several times
  3. All activated Online Services are deactivated

Each time I have run validate and super validate which did not solve all problems, requiring a restore from an old copy, run Update, and reconcile current transactions. These efforts took many hours to resolve and are not worth any benefits I would have gained from having my data available in Quicken Mobile and Web.

For these reasons, I highly recommend NOT activating Quicken Mobile & Web.

    @Mike Lawrence , Solid recommendation. To take it one step further I recommend to turn off Sync - found under Edit > Preferences > Mobile & Web

    The best quote I have seen on this topic is by one of the SuperUsers who wrote "QMobile/QWeb either work for a user or they don't and when they don't, the data file gets messed up. It just isn't worth the problems to be able to look at your finance's over a cup of coffee at the cafe."
