Super Validating has been running for 18 hours.

Question

Super validating has been running for 18 hours and is stuck on "checking stock splits".  My quicken file is 304 MB in size.  Task manager is showing that CPU and Memory are using resource and does not indicate that the program is "not responding".  Should I continue to let the validation process continue to run?

It's been a while since I ran a Super Validate, but my file is twice the size of yours and, as I recall, Super Validate finished within five minutes.  It's worth trying again, but I would definitely abort the process if it takes more than ten minutes.  I would go back into my backup copies of the data file and try to find one that completes the validation process.

At that point, I’d be inclined to abort it.

I’d then attempt a best possible review to look for any possible damage or changes (obviously bad account balances for example), then try e regular validate, then MAYBE another super-validate.

Perhaps more relevant, what super-validate to begin with?  Specific problems?
