bank pending transactions

I am running Quicken on a Mac. When I do a one-step update, the pending transactions from the bank are included in my daily total, and that makes my online balance off. I do not want to clear the pending amount until it actually shows up as a transaction. This is a new issue, as I have never had this happen before. It started around the beginning of December. If I do a download from the bank, this does not happen. Does anyone else have this issue? Any suggestions on what to do about it?

    Which bank is it and what connection method? When you say "do a download from the bank", do you mean download a QFX file from the bank's website and import it to Quicken?

    I have 2 banks: one is Logix FCU and the other is Chase. I started having the problem with Logix in early December, and I assumed it was a Logix issue because Logix lost connection with Quicken in August, and it only came back up in December. Today it happened with my Chase account as well. Yes, I am referring to the QFX file.

    Also having this problem with USAA Checking. One step update generates a reconcile issue with no pending transactions downloaded, but apparently it's picking up the balance inclusive of pending transactions. If I enter the pending transactions manually and clear them, it balances. Didn't used to have to do this prior to December.

    Same here, so do you think it is a Mac issue or Quicken?

    If any of you are have problem where the balance presented from your bank is including the pending transactions, then you need to navigate (via menubar) to Help:Report A Problem and submit your file/logs so that they can push this upstream to their data providers.

    You cannot change anything to fix other than this.
