Capital Gains not included on Capital Gains Report

I am running Quicken Classic Premier R65.29 and build 27.165.29

I noticed today that one of my brokerage accounts is not posting capital gains to the capital gains reports pre-built in Quicken.

My first triage was to make sure it was set up as a brokerage account and also set for complete downloads....positions and transactions.

You can select CGLong from the register dropdown as an example, but if you pull up the edit screen, the capital gains (short or long) and not available. When bringing up the edit screen the "Enter Transactions dropdown has been changed to Income and the memo contains "LONG TERM CAPITAL GAIN DISTRIBUTION". I am assuming this has something to do with the transactions not showing up in the CG reports.

Anyone have any suggestions? Does any Quicken support monitor this subredit? Did Quicken make an enhancement that I did not notice?

Appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.

As you might have guessed…I copied my post from Reddit and forgot to take out that reference 😦

The capital gains report presents realized gains and losses from sales of securities. It does not intend to report capital gains distributions from securities you own.

The tax schedule report will (if I recall correctly) properly report capital gains distributions, but does not report realized gains and losses.

That is the way it has always been.

I guess I will have to remember to run an investment activity report and filter it down to CG Long and Short
