PNC Bank Direct Connect Sign on Fail Mac

Trying to get PNC Bank Direct Connect to work for first time.

Sign on asks for social security number. Mail from PNC says Customer ID. What should I type in? SS or PNC mailed number? Both fail anyway. Got PIN in mail from them too. Quicken just repeatedly says "Did you mistype your sign-in info? Please re-enter your credentials for PNC Bank - Direct Connect."

Just all fails. with same message.

    Thank you for sharing your experience.

    The Direct Connect connection method uses the bank's servers. We, unfortunately, do not have access to those servers, so I am unable to see any errors or what is happening on the bank end of this to cause you to see errors.

    Please reach out to PNC for assistance connecting your accounts in Quicken.

    So I called PNC Bank. I asked for the Quicken team. They say the Quicken and PNC software teams are working on it. "they are having issues" lol. so its broken. and hopefully the two teams will get it fixed someday. They did say I should enter the social security number and the PIN they sent in the mail. The letter with the customer ID is not relevant for Direct Connect. fun times.
