Investment accounts dashboard no longer allows editing number of shares

Investing account under the "Investing" tab "Dashboard" will no longer allow editing the #of shares, but other accounts in this tab allowed. All was working fine until 3 weeks ago .

Thank you for sharing your experience and reporting the issues you are seeing.

I have some follow-up questions for you.

• Where is your data file located?
• Is your file being synced/backed up by any third-party services like OneDrive, Dropbox, or Blackblaze?

We have a couple of troubleshooting options here. You could restore a backup from 3 weeks ago, before the issue occurred. Or, you can try validating your data file to see if that helps clear up/repair the issue.

To restore a backup:

1. Connect to the drive that contains your backup file; this could be your computer hard drive, a Dropbox drive, a USB drive or other backup media.
2. Choose File menu > Backup and Restore > Restore from Backup File. The Restore from Backup File screen will appear.
3. If you want to restore a backup file that Quicken created automatically for you, choose Restore from automatic backups, and then select one of the backup files listed.
4. If you want to restore a backup file that you created yourself, choose Restore from your backup, and then click Browse to locate your backup.
5. Select Restore Backup. This will overwrite your current file.

To Validate:

1. Save a backup.
2. Go to File.
3. Select Validate and Repair file…
4. Check the first box for Validate file.
5. Click Ok.

Once the validation has completed, it will produce a report of anything it has found/corrected. After this, try editing the number of shares again, and let me know if anything has changed.
