Fidelity Rewards C/C Transactions Downloaded to a NEW Account
I am running a MacBook on Sequoia 15.7.3 with Quicken Vers 8.4.1. I have been downloading C/C transactions manually via QFX for 14 months now. My last download created a new Quicken Account instead of landing on the existing account. I inadvertently selected continue when asked during the download process and ended up with the new account and all of the outstanding transactions. Realizing what happened I deleted the new account in Quicken and all of its associated transactions. Are there any known issues with Fidelity?
I should note that all of the transactions were mine it just associated them with a wrong account.
I just talked to Elan Financial Services, the company running the Fidelity Credit Cards, and they informed me that they assigned a new C/C card number to my account. No reason given why! Now I have to contact all my recurring payment accounts and updated the C/C # on file.
How do I change the account number in the Account Settings for my existing transactions, since I would like to have a history of all my transactions with this Credit Card account?

When you next import the file, it should give you the option to connect to and existing account or create a new one. (I'm not sure what this looks like for QFX import since I don't use that method.) If that doesn't happen, then you can let it create the new account. Then go to the old account, select all transactions, and drag and drop them to the new account. The old account will then be empty and can be deleted and future imports will go to the new account. You may have some duplicate transactions to clean up.
That said, why are you importing a QFX? Fidelity Visa/Elan supports direct import via Quicken Connect. So much easier!!

RickO, thanks for the info about Fidelity Visa/Elan. I was under the impression when I opened the card 15 months ago that Quicken Connect was not an option. I use it for all my other credit cards.

It is. Use the FI "Elan Financial Services" and the credentials you use to log onto the Elan website (myaccountaccess.com)
