Missing Investment Transaction Register

Question

I was adding a transaction to a Fidelity Money Market Account, and when I hit Enter, the screen changed from the register to a screen with three boxes. One has column headings for Security, Shares, Price, Value, Today $, and Today %. The box below it says No changed security prices today. the third is blank. There is no data in any of them.  I looked through old posts, and my Tracking Method is set to Complete. I can't find any way to get my register back.

I am using Quicken Classic Premier, version R65.29, Build 27.1.65.29.

This precise issue just happened to me moments ago.  I entered the transaction directly into the register and hit Enter.  The screen immediately changed as per the OP's description.  I never opened the Account Details and have no idea why Quicken display would make this kind of account-level change on a simple register-level keystroke.  In any event, I closed Quicken, waited 10 seconds and fired it back up.  Register magically reappeared.  So weird….

Looks like this account was changed to Simple Tracking Method.

To get your transaction register back change the account back to Complete.

To do so, go into Edit Account Details for this account and look for the Tracking Method Simple / Complete radio buttons in the General tab.
