Account Ledger Search Filter

In doing a Search within a specific ledger, Quicken's results are across multiple accounts and their ledgers. All I want is the result from the specific account that I am performing the Ledger Search. Is this a short coming of Quicken?

If so, when you perform a search within a Specific Ledger, the results need to be ONLY from that ledger. If you want it across multiple account ledgers, perhaps add a Option for that.

Go to your specific account and there is a search field at the top left, just below the account's name. That will give you the results for that account only. Applies to banking accounts, not investments.

For further clarification, I am asking this Question for Investment Accounts.

Ah yes, the investment accounts are a more involved, but can be done depending on what you are searching for. Click on the small blue "Find" link at the top right of the register

Now you have two choices:

If you select FIND, That will give you the results for that account only. The limitation is that is finds one row and a time so that you have to click on Find again and again - not ideal.
If you select FIND ALL, in the resulting popup (which shows all accounts) you need to click on the Account column to sort it by the account and scroll to the section of interest. Probably closer to what you have in mind but not exactly.

Alternatively you can use the Investment Transaction reports to filter by one account only, but it has obvious limitations as far as search goes.

Seems like a candidate for a New Idea post.
