My Mac lost its latest version. How do I find it

Are you referring to versions of the Quicken program, or versions of your data file?

Hello @BUDDY BOWLER,
Thank you for sharing your experience.
To add to what @RickO has asked; if you are referring to multiple versions of the Quicken program, no, you do not need older versions, and it is ok to trash them if you would like.
If you are referring to multiple versions of your data file, these are likely backups. We do recommend keeping some backups in case you ever need to revert to one. If you open Quicken and find yourself in the wrong data file, you can easily go back to the file you were last in by going to File>Open Recent, then selecting the second file in the list.
Hope this helps!
