Quicken for Mac loan reconciliation

It would appear something has changed since December of 2024. Up to December 2024, when I show the CLR column on loan transactions, it shows green circled checkmarks … and then each month I compare the balance to that shown on my statement and click on it to show blue check mark (i.e. pending full reconciliation). I'm not exactly sure how I was able to reconcile the account previously to get the green check mark … but now when I click on reconcile account when I'm on a loan account, I get back an error message that loan's can't be reconciled. Why is Quicken adding this limitation? You should have the ability to compare the loan balance on your statement and the loan balance in Quicken and mark it as reconciled. You don't have to give us the ability to edit the loan transactions, just give us the pop up reconciliation window where we can enter our loan balance and if it matches the register, mark the transactions as reconciled.

If you hold down the Option key and click on the CLR column it will mark the transaction as reconciled. It does seem a bit odd that you can't reconcile a loan but if there's only one loan payment transaction per month the reconcile process isn't really doing much for you anyway vs just marking the one transaction.
