Downloaded Fidelity checking acct transactions--payee name truncated too short to read
For downloaded Fidelity checking account transactions, the payee is sometimes hard to read because the payee name is truncated to just a few characters. This is because the downloaded payee name always begins with a long prefix like DEBIT CARD PURCHASE, DIRECT DEBIT, DIRECT DEPOSIT, etc. Renaming rules set up with the full downloaded string, including the prefix, do not work.
For example, the downloaded transaction payee is DEBIT CARD PURCHASE POS87CL JES. I had to go to fidelity.com to learn this is a payment to a dental office. Then I have to modify the payee name in the register to the actual dental office name.

Quicken posts what the financial institution sends. You probably need to contact your financial institution to see if they can alter what they're sending.
