Blank lines after download

I believe that this started after upgrading to version R65.29. When I download transactions from my bank (Bank of Stockton), the payee lines are blank with no description in them in the Downloaded Transaction window.

    Hi @dnelson,

Thank you for sharing what you're experiencing. I’m happy to help you troubleshoot this.

To better understand what may be causing the issue, I have a few questions:

    • Where is your data file located?
      To check:
      1. Open Quicken.
      2. Click File.
      3. At the bottom under Recent Files, the file with the check mark next to it is the one currently open.
Please let me know the full file path shown there.
    • Is this happening with only one account, or multiple accounts?
    • Have you tried validating your file yet?
    • What happens when you accept one of the empty transactions? Does it remain blank, generate an error, or disappear?

Your answers will help narrow down the cause and determine the next best steps.

I look forward to your response!

    C:\USERS\DNELS\DOCUMENTS\QUICKEN\NELSON

This is only happening the Bank of Stockton Account

I have not validated the file

It functions as expected the downloads match to the correct entries in the register.

    Hi @dnelson,

Thank you for following up. I appreciate the clarification.

Just to confirm, when the downloaded transaction matches an existing one, the original transaction keeps the correct information and is not changed. Is that correct? I want to be sure we’re aligned on what you’re seeing.

In the meantime, please validate your data file to check for and repair any potential file corruption. Be sure to create a backup before proceeding.

    To Validate Your File:

    1. Go to File.
    2. Click Validate and Repair File.
    3. Select Validate File. validate file.png
    4. Click OK.
    5. Once the validation is complete, close and reopen Quicken.

After validating, it’s possible that any existing blank transactions may remain blank. If accepting those transactions (even if blank) does not impact your records, please go ahead and accept them. Then try downloading new transactions again, if available.

If there are no new transactions at this time, that’s perfectly fine; you can test again the next time transactions become available.

Please let me know how it goes, and we’ll continue from there if needed.
